Dubai needed a logo and identity that resonated with both Arabic and Western cultures.
The big idea was a bold brand mark that reads ‘Dubai’ in both Arabic and English – a vision of two worlds in unison. The design also took its influence from arabesque art central to the region.
In Dubai the brand mark is hard to miss, adorning license plates, buildings and buses to name a few… and even forming the shape of an inflatable waterpark.
The logo has been used for over ten years and become a symbol of the city’s duality.
